May is Better Speech & Hearing Month, and what better way to celebrate than learning about hearing loss and why it’s important to treat, especially for your parents and loved ones? The American Academy of Audiology reports that hearing loss impacts approximately 30-35% of adults between the ages of 65 and 75, and 40-50% of adults over the age of 751. With this prevalence in mind, it is very important to be aware of how hearing health can impact communication, quality of life, and what to do if someone has hearing concerns.
